What to Wear
-
February temperatures range from 22 – 30°C with high humidity. We recommend light, breathable fabrics.
Women are encouraged to wear colorful, long tropical dresses. Please opt for formal shoes like block heels, wedges, or dressy flats.
Men traditionally wear a white, long sleeve chacabana, worn untucked, with dress trousers and formal shoes. If you prefer, a lightweight, breathable suit is also a great option.
-
Chacabanas are linen shirts with pleated panels and more traditional designs have pockets, meant to hold small items like cigars. Some sources say the pockets were meant to hold guavas 🍈 which is how they got their Cuban name, guayabera.
